As part of Singhe Hospitals PLC's ongoing Social Welfare Programme, the annual prize and certificate distribution ceremony for the students of Ratganga, Punchi Dambadiva, and Sri Chandraloka Dhamma Schools was successfully held once again this year. This long-standing initiative reflects our continued commitment to community development and educational support. In addition to the student awards, uniforms and clothing were also distributed to the dedicated teachers, acknowledging their invaluable contribution to nurturing the younger generation.

As part of the Singhe Hospitals PLC Social Care Programme, a free medical camp was successfully conducted on 13th March 2025 at the Suwadana Medical Center, Avissawella. This initiative aimed to provide accessible healthcare services to underserved communities, reflecting our commitment to improving public health and well-being.

Under the Singhe Hospitals PLC Social Welfare Programme, a free medical camp was successfully conducted on 18th February 2025 in Thannahenawatte, Kuruwita. The clinic was organized in collaboration with Weerasinghe Property Development, targeting the employees of the Thannahenawatte Estate and residents of the surrounding community.This initiative provided essential healthcare services and reflects our ongoing commitment to the well-being of estate workers and rural communities.

As part of the Sinha Hospital Social Welfare Program, a free medical clinic was successfully conducted on 23rd January 2025 at Siri Jayabodhi Temple, Athulathmudaligama, Mathugama.

A free medical clinic organized by the Lion Society for the residents of Yakdehiwatte was successfully held on 18th January 2025 under the Lion Hospital Social Welfare initiative.

Free health clinic and awareness program for World Diabetes Day in Hydramani Institute, Kuruwita 2024

In commemoration of World Diabetes Day (14th November), a free health clinic and awareness program focusing on diabetes and other non-communicable diseases was conducted on 12th November 2024 at the Hydramani Institute premises in Kuruwita, targeting the employees of the institution.The awareness session was led by Dr. Ruwan Parakramawansa, Lecturer and Specialist in Physical Medicine.

On 14th September 2024, the Singhe Hospital Social Care team extended its support to the medical clinic organized by the Dimuthu Welfare Association at Kuruwita, Wathuaya.

Pahala Bopitiya

Continuing its ongoing efforts, the Singhe Hospital Social Welfare Program was successfully conducted on 19th July 2024 at Sri Ratnaramaya Temple, Pahala Bopitiya, Pelmadulla.

Special appreciation goes to the Ratnapura Vision Care Institute for partnering with us to conduct eye examinations, and to the medical staff—including the doctor—from the Pelmadulla Regional Public Health Medical Office for providing dental check-ups. We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who contributed to the success of this program.

Donation of Playground Lighting

Social Care Initiative – Donation Community- Donation of Playground Lighting Equipment As part of the Singhe Hospitals PLC Social Care Programme, a donation of lighting equipment for the playgrounds used by children of the Godakawela, Ranwala, UdaRanwala, and Navodaya Sports Clubs was made on 7th February 2025.

World Cancer Day Initiative – Donation to Ratnapura Teaching Hospital To mark World Cancer Day on 4th February 2025, Singhe Hospitals PLC donated essential medical supplies to the Cancer Ward of the Ratnapura Teaching Hospital.This gesture reflects our continued commitment to supporting cancer care and strengthening the public.
